arun k. sharma a.k_sharma@sify.com | Dear Dr Tej Pratap and Shri Ajay ji ,
1. The world discussion forum is O.K. but threre may be some guidelines for participation to make discussion fruitful and can help in making some conclusion or policy.
2. YOu may please start a seperate window for FAQ about ICCOA its policy , future programme etc because that can not be part of a discussion ,rather simple querry.
NOw discussion forum as you suggested first few replies comes form the viewers or for better responce you may send ,one point of discussion every week to you all members,associatesand all of the persona in your mailing list and simultanously paste is on the discussion forum window at the ICCOA site.After receiving some replies the ICCOA write concluding remarks. Still some of the participants may feel for modification let them send the views and at the end of a Year finally conclude the question.
Let me give me final submission is plese clerify 3 Ds or dimentions of Organic farming i.e. Diversity,Decentralisation and Democreacy ( input optimisation, equality,fare trade etc.) are the baisic
principals of organic farming and readers are requested to ask questions or take part in discussion after some understanding with these 3Ds.
Also there is enough material to discard the chemical farming and you paste some of the reference at your site so that readers should ask or take part in discussion for promotion of organic farming rather wasting energy in criticising chemical farming
| 26/8/2005 | V. Srinivasan sriivasan_vk@indiatimes.com | May I suggest few points. The discussion forum can be divided into the following sub-divisions, I hope this would help navigating information would be more convenient:
Farmers/Growers
-> Pre-harvest
-> Post harvest
Standards/Guidelines/Certification
Marketing
-> Domestic
-> International
-> Logistics
General
Periodically finished threads can be archieved.
I think ICCOA may appoint Moderators who has expertise in the relevant section to repond, monitor, keep the thread informative, maintain decorum, non-violating the ICCOA code, remove, etc. Further, the name of the person who raised the question can also displayed, if ICCOA policy permits.
Thanks & regards
