The Indian consumers will benefit from the availability and the quality of organic food; the transparency in this market will be improved.

Indirect beneficiaries: The entire organic sector in India will benefit from the increased market opportunities. The availability of a competent agency (ICCOA) for the implementation of projects related to organic agriculture is also in the interest of the concerned Indian government agencies. Also, the Government agencies concerned under the ministries of commerce and agriculture will benefit from the activities related to the positioning of organic farming, the standard setting process and accreditation. Further, retailers and trade companies will benefit from an increased trade volume. Thus the value added in the organic sector can be increased what will create interesting market opportunities for the entire sector (farmers, processors, traders) and create income for farmers and job-opportunities in the sector.
