Introduction
International Competence Centre for Organic Agriculture (ICCOA. www.iccoa.org) is planning to organize a two-day workshop cum training on “Organic Agriculture, Marketing and Organization building” for small and marginal farmers/farmer groups.
This two-day program is basically meant to acquaint the farmer groups towards efficient marketing of organic products. The program will also briefly introduce the basics of organic agriculture, IFOAM standards, certification issues etc., but the major focus will be on building capacities of these organic farmers towards exports and domestic marketing. It will also have a special session on organization building, including how to prepare a business plan, implementation etc. and will include “How to build organization professionally and participate at trade fairs, etc. effectively”.
The objective of this workshop cum training program is to help the farmer groups to acquire skills required at the market place and to represent the organization professionally.
