Project based on Organic adoption, Certification and Market Linkages implemented by incorporating the Bio-village concept.
- Govt. of Kerala has announced that Kasaragod district will be made 100% organic by 2015! ICCOA closely associated with the process and initiated the Sustainable Biovillage concept for Kasaragod
- Project starting with 500 ha, 698 farmers in Pannathady Panchayat. Soon expanding to 2500 ha in 1st phase.
- Crops in the project include black pepper, nutmeg, ginger, turmeric, coconuts, and others.
Project Phase I from 2014 – 2017. 500 ha expanding to 2500 ha this year. Sustainable Bio-Villages integrate 7 distinct components for holistic development of the community.
