In a significant initiative aimed at enhancing market linkages within the agricultural sector, the International Competence Centre for Organic Agriculture (ICCOA) partnered with the Karnataka State Agricultural Produce Processing and Export Corporation Limited (KAPPEC), Government of Karnataka, to organize the Buyer Seller Meet (BSM) on 04 July 2024. The event was organised at the Alumni Association, UAS, Bengaluru. The meet brought together key stakeholders to foster meaningful collaborations and business opportunities in agricultural and value-added products.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Shri M.H. Banthanal, Managing Director, KAPPEC and Mr. Manoj Kumar Menon, Executive Director, ICCOA, Mr. Gopalkrishna Hegde, General Manager, ICCOA Mr. Jayaprasad Ballekere, CEO, Avani Organic, Mr. Krupa from Davangere Federation, and Mr. Hanumanthappa, a respected pomegranate farmer.
Commencing with an inaugural ceremony, the day unfolded with the main event, the Buyer Seller Meet, where participants engaged in lively discussions and negotiations. Buyers and sellers seized the opportunity to explore potential partnerships, discuss product specifications, and finalize deals. The event was marked by the signing of Letter of Intent (LOI), symbolizing the commitment to future collaborations and ensuring tangible outcomes from the interactions
Throughout the event, approximately 200 attendees actively participated in networking sessions and interactive discussions. Buyers from 18 respected companies were present in the event and 20 LOIs worth Rs. 28.13 crores were signed. The event provided a fertile ground for fostering relationships and exploring opportunities within the agricultural value chain. The BSM was a resounding success, underscoring its role in strengthening market linkages within the agricultural community.
